When we experience very hard things in life, especially during childhood, our energetic bodies create a protection mechanism to defend against abuse that is happening. As a result, most of the time, people live in the unconscious realm of their trauma, and just act from that place without recognizing the energetic disturbance that has happened.
Chris is here looking for direction. She’s recently published a book, and although she imagined that by now things would be moving along more rapidly, she’s experiencing some hiccups that have left her feeling lost. What transpires is an in-depth conversation about her relationship with her parents, and how to find purpose from deep pain.

Life throws so many curveballs at us and when this happens, we often find ourselves at a crossroads of potential directions in our life. It can be difficult, especially if we’ve spent a long time discovering our spirituality, to come back to ourselves and who we really are, when we are going through such transitions. But it’s important to remember that as always, the answers are already within us, even if we must go through a period of rebirth to find them.

It’s a beautiful thing when we take the time to listen to the deep knowledge within us. I truly believe that we all have profound intuitive gifts, and that it only takes some understanding of ourselves and what we truly want, in order to tap into those gifts. The result is such a lovely blend of freedom and self-assuredness, accepting of course, that we will always face stumbling blocks as we experience natural resistance to the growth we are meeting.
Alison is here seeking clarity. She’s wondering how to know when it’s time to move in a new direction. It’s clear she’s a very intuitive person by nature, and so today, instead of our typical structure, Alison and I slip into more of an honest conversation with each other, touching on all things spiritual (which I love, of course).

It’s an unfortunate reality that money ensures our material survival, especially in this Western society in which many of us live. We’re encouraged to build our lives around the pursuit of money, shaping our careers, families, and time in order to make more, and more, and more. It is so difficult to remove our sense of self worth from how much we make, especially if the act of following our divine paths sometimes leads us down periods of financial hardship. Following your intuition is in and of itself a rebellion of our cultural conditioning, let alone the braveness to move through financial hardship without succumbing too much to scarcity and desperation.
Tracey is here seeking guidance. She is on a deep and profound spiritual journey, one where she is willing to sacrifice everything from her old life, in devotion to the path she’s walking. The world we are living in currently is so unpredictable, so fractured, and at times so scary. It is no wonder that so many of us feel suffocated by fear and anxiety, not knowing what the future will hold and how it will affect us. As scary as it is, my loves, I know there is so much strength inside all of you to guide you through these hard times and difficult feelings. There is still so much opportunity for human connection, for love, for security, and for all the things that we desire from our lives.
Misty is here seeking direction. She feels as though she’s in the middle of a midlife crisis. She’s having trouble believing in herself, and trusting herself as she moves into a life that is more aligned with her soul. Today, Misty and I have a vulnerable conversation on how to stay present, and engage with the present as a portal to change. Those of us who want to lean into our spiritual gifts may feel a lack of support from the world, and feel as though we’re on the outs. There is a large portion of this world that is not ready to accept that we are made for so much more, and sometimes that may hold us back from the purpose we are here to embody. For this reason (and so many more), we need to go deep within ourselves and the tender parts of our inner child that have felt wounded or abandoned in order to move forward with what we are called to do. It is big work, my loves, but it is certainly necessary.

While this is the question she came in asking, we ended up spending a significant amount of time diving into her inner child. Through this discovery work, it becomes apparent that what she has thought she’s meant to focus on is not the thing her spirit guides are moving her towards. As is so often the case. Today, Deanna and I have an enlightening conversation about how to care for our inner child in order to open up parts of ourselves that have been shut for so long.
