Those of us who have devoted endless time, energy, and faithfulness to developing our intuition, to our communication with Spirit Guides and the worlds beyond our physical one, understand the depth of this universe. It takes a lot of patience and self-awareness, and we know from our very beings that our gifts can do so much good in the world. Here in the west, we are all bombarded with messages that in order to succeed, in order to get what we want out of life, we have to fill our days with tasks and continuously DO in order to reap the rewards we deserve. Unfortunately, the cost of this way of living sacrifices our state of our being, and is at the expense of any fun or pleasure.
Maureen is here, like so many of us, wondering if she is on the right path. She’s considering whether the things she’s putting her energy and heart towards are in fact the things that she loves. When we’re faced with transitions and big changes, we may feel confused as to why certain hurts from earlier in life start to arise. Our uncertainty about the future is most times driven by unhealed wounds, and things we have hidden away. As we move towards new horizons, these wounds will surface for us to examine and integrate. Often our go to copying mechanism is to ignore their uprising and plunge more into doing as a way to avoid what is happening. When you learn to turn towards what is seeking your attention and focus on how you are being, it is easier to hear the whispers of your heart and discern your path forward.
Dauna is here looking for wisdom as she approaches some big changes in her life, including a move. She’s feeling stuck and afraid, and doesn’t understand why she is feeling this way. In the last decade or so, we’ve seen a rise of spiritual awakening that has led many people to open their eyes to their gifts as an empath. This is certainly a weighty realization, and if we are not careful, we can easily be pulled into the energetic process of others in a way that consumes and overwhelms us. Yet, I don’t believe we have to simply “put up with” this gift of ours; there are ways that we can refine this skill so that we can be a vessel for others and make a difference in people’s lives.

As humans, grief is something we will all experience at some point. It is also one of the hardest things we will ever go through, and a journey that is going to be deeply personal to each of us. This incredibly difficult process of grief has the ability to change us and expand us in more ways than we ever thought possible, if we have the courage to let it.
Taylor is here looking for guidance on how to navigate grief. She lost her Grandma two years ago and was unprepared for how much it affected her and changed her life. In a world that insists that our primary value as women stems from being in a marriage to a man and becoming a mother, it can be difficult to recognize your worth again when a meaningful romantic relationship has ended. There can be a lot of painful steps you must take to reconnect with yourself, and face the fears you have about being single as women. Yet you are fully capable of finding yourself again and will come out the other side of this journey with far more love and compassion for yourself and those around you than you might realize.

I believe you are meant for great things, my love. We are all born intuitive, but the work that we do to ground ourselves in our intuitive gifts and nurture our spiritual selves is directly related to our ability to support other people in one pursuit or another. We all live inside the structures of our society, and understandably, and so we might let the anxieties of our day-to-day prevent us from pursuing what we actually want to do in this life. That anxiety is only trying to protect us from all the fears we have, and although it’s comfortable to stay in that fear, what if we were brave enough to go beyond it?

As we set our sights on the year 2024, it’s a perfect opportunity for us all to spend some time with our higher selves and spirit guides to tap into what values we truly hold, and how we want to center ourselves moving forward. We live in a world where we have more access to each other than ever, and can tap into unimaginable amounts of information that can inform our decisions. With that, everybody around you will have their own opinions on what you should do next, especially if you are at all visible online and taking advantage of that digital connectedness. A lot of constraints and obligations fill up our days, and much of this structure we may not be consciously aware that we are creating. This can lead us to filter our decision making through the lens of “I have to,” instead of leaning into the real “why” of wanting to do something, making choosing a path forward difficult.
Melissa is here looking for clarity on where to focus her attention and energy for next year.
