The trauma experienced by our ancestors has a way of making its way down to us and in order to change, we need to pay attention to how it is playing out in our lives. These patterns can be especially harmful in the context of parenting, where we can unknowingly continue the harm done in our familial line onto our children. The good news is that with some courage and examination of ourselves, we all have agency to stop this pattern in its tracks. The power of decision is within you, you just have to choose to act on it.
Chandni is here with a desire to heal her relationship with her 9-year-old son. She is concerned that she gets very dysregulated in her parenting, really feeling the ancestral wounding that she carries around, yet we also see the deep wisdom she holds within that becomes apparent as we talk. So many of us grow up in situations where we don’t feel safe or protected. In these scenarios, it is very common to get stuck in “karmic loops,” which are, in essence, the curses that are played out through our family lines. This can create many problems in our adult lives, because we’re running these programs that were put in place as survival strategies. The beauty of taking our lives to the next level and bringing in energetic and spiritual tools is that we can actually use these modalities to clear the loops we feel ourselves stuck in.
Lis is here looking for answers. She’s grown up with the idea that she was cursed when she was 14, when an event happened that sent her on a downward spiral into depression. This understandably altered her life for a significant amount of time. We’re all programmed with collective narratives, and one of these that is particularly strong and disempowering for women is about the very old institution of marriage. It’s a system that was once created as a means to sell women as property, and although it has evolved to mean something very different in modern society, I believe there is still a lot of subconscious wounding there to work through, especially if you are brave enough to challenge those norms and go through a divorce. There are so many stories that tell women that they must fear being alone, particularly in old age, that sit within us as we process whatever pain we’re experiencing from the ending of a long relationship such as a marriage.
Conny is here feeling like she’s “lost her mojo.” She’s not originally from the US, but has lived here for over 20 years. A few years ago, her husband left her for another woman, and she’s still struggling with that pain. Today, Conny and I have a beautiful conversation about what we can uncover when we are willing to look deep into every part of us, and how to grieve the loss of the future you thought you were going to have after breaking up with a romantic partner.

I have so much fascination for how connected we all are, and how interwoven the parts of our lives are with each other. Sometimes we can see several questions arise in our lives and try to approach finding answers from different means, when they in fact come from the same source. It’s part of our natural inclination as human beings to act in patterns that may show up in many different parts of our life, and the magic lies in us recognizing these patterns and being willing to make changes.
Dexter is here curious about a few different areas of his life. In a society that encourages us to do so much, and to seek external validation from others, we often put the notion of “having confidence” up on a pedestal, along with the values of eternal hard work and doing more and more and more. Our hearts are meant to be intertwined with our purpose. We all have an inherent need to live from our purpose, and not just to speak it from our voice, but to act from it. A lot of us become stuck by the resistance we feel from attempting to live through our purpose in this way, and feel some incongruence between who we are on the inside and who we are showing to the world.
Ania is here seeking clarity. She’s been doing a lot of manifestation work recently, from the subconscious mind, exploring her shadow work and inner child work. Many of us grew up in environments where we did not feel safe. It is a common story to have some level of trauma, loneliness, or feeling of neglect during childhood, and unfortunately, those experiences leave lasting affects on the body, changing our energetic bodies and our nervous systems. These programs can follow us even into adulthood, showing up as anxiety, a sense of overwhelm, and a lack of access to the intuitive gifts we all hold.
Haleigh is here seeking understanding. She wants to learn how to receive and interpret intuitive information more consistently, and find how she can tap into more of a clear line of communication. The Internet age has empowered so many of us to grow our business in ways that were never possible before, reaching such a higher magnitude of people. It has been truly life changing and a positive force for many. But in some ways, my loves, we’re suffering the downsides of this era, for we are becoming more and more separated from each other year by year. The fact is, we are so much more powerful when we are able to sit physically with one another and exchange energy, and I truly believe that we are capable of so much. Maintaining that connection during this digital age is surely a challenge, but not impossible.
Melanie is here wanting to understand her blocks. She’s been a counselor and therapist for decades, but as of recently, she’s embarking into the online world. As she moves into this next phase of life and into a brand new avenue for her business, she’s really curious to learn how to move through the financial blocks that are coming up. Those of us who run businesses know how much self-doubt and uncertainty comes up while we’re trying to pursue our dreams of helping others with our gifts. In a path where there is so much work to be done, it can be very easy to slip into the mindset that our worth is contingent on what we’re able to do (and do for others), and to troubleshoot any slowness or lack of “success” with just doing more. It may seem counterintuitive, but I believe that we do not have to pursue clients in our business; we only need to focus on our being and the right clients will find us.
